Web 2.0 Learning Opportunity

The In-Service Training Trust (ISTT) in collaboration with CTA is hosting a series of Web 2.0 Learning Opportunities. I am participating in the third series taking place from 16-20 July 2012. We have been  introduced to selected Web 2.0 applications and we are learning how to use them hands-on. Some of the Learning Opportunities covered so far include advanced online searching, getting information served via alerts and RSS, collaborating remotely using wikis and Google Docs and Using VoIP.

Collaborating remotely using wikis is very fascinating and relevant to me and my daily work. At the Zambia Agriculture Research Institute (ZARI) where I am working we are always working together with other researchers in developing project proposals and writing various reports. I will share with most if not all researchers learn about this opportunity to enable us work on the same document and provide feedback.

Simunza S. Muyangana is the facilitator of the Web 2.0 Training Course. He is doing a marvelous job of it all. Below is a photo I have taken of some of my colleagues sitting across in the course.
